Applicants are informed about the Dublin procedure during the registration stage, the prescreening stage of each case and before the Dublin examination is conducted. Information is provided regarding the objectives of the Dublin procedure; the criteria for determining the responsible Member State; family reunification possibilities; criteria related to illegal entry/stay or previous presence and asylum applications in another Member States; the purpose of the personal interview; during which applicants may submit information relevant to the determination of the responsible Member State. 

Information provided covers the purpose and scope of the Dublin III Regulation; the criteria for determining the responsible Member State; family reunification provisions; applicants’ rights and obligations during the procedure; the personal interview; the submission of evidence and supporting documentation; applicable procedural deadlines; the exchange of information between Member States; the transfer procedure; and available legal remedies against a transfer decision.

Information is provided both orally and in writing, with the assistance of interpretation. Applicants receive the relevant information through the registration and lodging process, written information materials, and the Common Dublin Information Leaflet.

Information is provided in a language that the applicant understands, or is reasonably supposed to understand. Interpretation services are provided where necessary throughout the Dublin procedure.

No additional national information leaflet is used. Applicants should receive the Common Dublin Information Leaflet along with specific information provided by the competent authorities.

No specific information materials have been developed for applicants with special needs exclusively on the Dublin procedure. However, applicants with special needs receive tailored information and support through specialised staff and appropriate referral mechanisms, taking into account their individual circumstances and vulnerabilities.

Applicants receive information on relocation when they are identified as potentially eligible for relocation. The information regarding the relocation program is provided by the dedicated personnel of the Greek Dublin Unit along with the IOM Greece staff as well as the EUAA staff involved in the relocation process. The information covers eligibility criteria, procedural steps, rights and obligations, required documentation and transfer arrangements.
