The Finnish Immigration Service informed that the Aliens Act is amended as of 6 May 2025 with the following:
- obligation to cooperate after receiving a decision on removal and means that the person must voluntarily leave Finland within the time limit;
- a foreigner can apply for the extension of the time limit for voluntary return, for special reasons, and upon payment of a EUR 100 processing fee; clarifications on entry bans;
withdrawal of residence permit can be applied within the following conditions: A fixed-term, permanent or P-EU permit may be withdrawn if:
- the permit holder's refugee status has been ended because the person has committed a serious crime the permit holder is a danger to the community or to national security or the permit holder's subsidiary protection status has been ended because the person has committed a serious crime.
- the duration of detention related to decisions on removal is extended.
