The General Inspectorate for Immigration managed the arrival of a group of 31 Palestinian nationals evacuated from the Gaza Strip during the night of 14 to 15 May 2025. This humanitarian effort was carried out with the support of the Department for Emergency Situations and the Ministry of National Defence, under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The Inspectorate's personnel registered the asylum applications and transferred the applicants to the Bucharest Regional Centre for Procedures and Accommodation of Asylum Seekers.
