Nearly 170 specialists from integration services, social assistance, and public employment offices gathered for the second national meeting on refugee labour market integration. Organised by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the meeting focused on improving cooperation between authorities to enhance the professional integration of individuals holding protection S status, refugee status, or provisional admission.
Recommendations were developed in three thematic areas: strategy and communication, guidance and placement and services and funding measures. Participants exchanged best practices from cantonal programmes, highlighted areas for improved inter-agency collaboration, and discussed challenges in integrating refugees into the labour market.
The first national meeting was held in June 2024.
