Proposed amendment of the Aliens and Immigration Law for the ex officio judicial review of prolonged detention of third country nationals

The Parliamentary Committee on Interior proposed a bill to amend the Aliens and Immigration Law to harmonise it with the Return Directive 2008/115/EC to ensure full compliance with the criteria set out concerning the possibility of ex officio judicial review of the prolonged detention of third country nationals, following recommendations from the European Commission.
