Estonia extended its ESTPOL border guard mission in Latvia by 4 weeks and will send additional rotations later in 2026. The decision comes as pressure on the Latvia–Belarus external border remains high. The Minister of the Interior, Igor Taro, highlighted Estonia’s continued support to Latvia in protecting the EU’s external border.
