The think tank Providus launched the project “Beyond Labels: Reframing Migration and Forced Displacement in Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland”. The project's goal is to promote an analytically grounded public discourse on migration in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, fostering a strategic and long-term understanding of migration management that complies with international legal standards.
The project is based on the position that asylum and migration should be considered a long-term policy area rather than a series of episodic crises. The central element of the project is a coordinated cross-border campaign based on quarterly opinion pieces in the media, combining experience, data and policy analysis.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Lithuania-based organisation Diversity Development Group (as the lead partner) and the Poland-based Institute of Public Affairs.
Project duration: 1 June 2026-31 May 2027
