The Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Culture requested the Audit Authority of the Ministry of Finance to audit all projects of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) administered by the Ministry of Culture.
The call is based on the irregularities and significant shortcomings identified by the Audit Authority in the evaluation of a specific project implemented by the Ministry of Culture. According to both ministries, this raises legitimate concerns that the irregularities and shortcomings identified may not be limited to an individual project, but may also indicate systemic problems in the process of project selection, administration and monitoring.
