Office for Foreigners stops issuing Temporary Protection Certificates and issues PESEL numbers with UKR status

As of 5 March 2026, the Head of the Office for Foreigners ceased issuing Temporary Protection Certificates. Certificates issued before 5 March 2026 remain valid until 4 March 2027, except when beneficiaries are subsequently assigned a PESEL number with UKR status. Beneficiaries who have lost their certificates should submit an application for the assignment of a PESEL number with UKR status at any municipal authority in Poland
