The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) updated the statistics on asylum seekers for 2025:
- 1,288 persons requested asylum in Latvia
- 55 were granted refugee status
- 99 were granted subsidiary protection
The main countries of origin of asylum seekers in 2025 - Somalia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Morocco, Tajikistan.
