Ministry of Immigration and Asylum publishes October 2025 data on unaccompanied minors in Greece

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum published a factsheet on unaccompanied minors in Greece in October 2025. According to the factsheet, the estimated number of unaccompanied minors in Greece was 1,795 of which:

  • 92% boys
  • 8% girls
  • 12.7% < 15 years old
  • 1,250 in accommodation centres
  • 172 in semi-independent living apartments
  • 120 in emergency accommodation structures
  • 239 in Reception and Identification Centres (RICs) and Closed Controlled Access Centers (CCACs) in the islands
  • 14 in Controlled Accommodation Facilities for Asylum Seekers
     

The accommodation capacity for unaccompanied minors was:

  • 1,745 places in accommodation structures (accommodation centres/semi-independent living apartments); and
  • 156 places in emergency accommodation facilities.
