On 29 April 2026 the Act amending the Act on the Government of the Republic of Slovenia was adopted by the National Assembly regulating new ministries and their areas of work. The areas of work of the former Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ministry of Public Administration were merged into the Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration.
