The government designated the National Authority for the Supervision of Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) as the market surveillance authority for high-risk AI systems in the field of biometrics, used for the purposes of law enforcement, border management and the observance of justice and democracy, and for high-risk AI systems in the fields of migration, asylum or border control management, as well as in the field of the administration of justice and democratic processes.
