The Polish Office for Foreigners acknowledged the entry into force, on 5 August 2026, of Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1912 of 30 July 2026 on the extension of temporary protection introduced by Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382, pursuant to which temporary protection has been extended until 4 March 2028.
Article 2 of the Decision restricted this status to persons who have fulfilled their military duties in Ukraine, upon presentation of appropriate evidence, where applicable, with effect from 31 July 2026. Beneficiaries who held temporary protection before that date are not affected.
