The government announced that it will not discontinue the temporary collective protection scheme in 2027. However, collective protection cannot currently be granted for more than 5 years.
Most Ukrainians in Norway have temporary collective protection. The scheme remains in place until the government decides to abolish it.
The government will provide further information on the process in good time, including for those who arrived first and will reach 5 years of residence in spring 2027.
