In October 2025, the Government Council approved two national strategies:
- National strategy for asylum and migration management within the framework of the Pact on Migration and Asylum implementation. The strategy aims to strength the resilience of the national asylum and reception systems while contributing to the European migration policy.
- National strategy for integrated external border management based on Frontex regulation which aims to stablish integrated, effective and efficient management of external borders.
