Latvian EMN representatives will conduct studies and reviews on European migration and asylum policies

Go back to the Recent Developments Timeline

In 2025, the Latvian contact point of the European Migration Network (EMN) will participate in several studies on migration management and asylum policies, focusing on emerging trends, challenges, and solutions. Migration and asylum issues remain central to EU policies, and a recently published EMN study examines how Member States address undeclared work by third-country nationals. It covers legislative changes to promote legal employment, stricter sanctions, targeted inspections in high-risk sectors, employer penalties, educational initiatives, and improved cooperation between public authorities.
