As part of the State’s preparations for the implementation of the EU Migration Pact, the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration has launched a call for proposals from organisations interested in providing representative services for unaccompanied minors seeking international protection in Ireland.
The initiative, which will operate on a six-month pilot basis, aims to ensure that unaccompanied minors are supported throughout key stages of the international protection process. The appointed representatives will be responsible for assisting with the collection and provision of information, while ensuring that the best interests of each child remain a primary consideration at all times.
Organisations wishing to apply shall demonstrate relevant experience and expertise in delivering comparable services and ensure nationwide coverage.
