The Hungarian Parliament voted in favour of authorising the government to extend the crisis situation due to the war in Ukraine until 15 November 2025. and will maintain embassy procedure in this period. This means that the rules requiring applicants to submit a letter of intent at the Hungarian embassy in Belgrade or Kyiv, before arriving to Hungary to apply for international protection (the so-called embassy procedure) will remain in place in this period.
