Ministry of Immigration and Asylum publishes November 2025 data on unaccompanied minors in Greece

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum published a factsheet on unaccompanied minors in Greece in November 2025. According to the factsheet, the estimated number of unaccompanied minors in Greece was 1,839 of which:

  • 91% boys
  • 9% girls
  • 12.8% < 15 years old
  • 1,290 in accommodation centres
  • 194 in semi-independent living apartments
  • 69 in emergency accommodation structures
  • 285 in Reception and Identification Centres (RICs) and Closed Controlled Access Centers (CCACs) in the islands
  • 1 minor in Controlled Accommodation Facilities for Asylum Seekers
     

The accommodation capacity for unaccompanied minors was:

  • 1,745 places in accommodation structures (accommodation centres/semi-independent living apartments); and
  • 155 places in emergency accommodation facilities.
