Ministry of Immigration and Asylum publishes March 2025 data on unaccompanied minors in Greece

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum published a factsheet on unaccompanied minors in Greece in March 2025. According to the factsheet, the estimated number of unaccompanied minors in Greece was 2,641 of which:

  • 92% boys
  • 8% girls
  • 11% < 15 years old
  • 1,380 in accommodation centres
  • 214 in semi-independent living apartments
  • 127 in emergency accommodation structures
  • 918 in Reception and Identification Centres (RICs) and Closed Controlled Access Centers (CCACs) in the islands
  • 2 minors in Controlled Accommodation Facilities for Asylum Seekers

The accommodation capacity for unaccompanied minors was:

  • 1,745 places in accommodation structures (accommodation centres/semi-independent living apartments); and
  • 154 places in emergency accommodation facilities.
