The Greek Minister of Immigration and Asylum participated in the meeting of the Ministers of Immigration and Interior of the five MED5 member states (Greece, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Malta), which took place on April 11 and 12 in Naples, Italy.
The focus of the discussion was on the implementation of the new European Pact on Migration and Asylum, the external dimension of migration policy, and the crucial issue of returns. Mr. Voridis underlined that “the effective return of those who are not entitled to international protection is the only way to restore logic to Europe’s migration system.”
