Following reports submitted by Samos-based civil society organisations, the Greek Ombudsman issued a statement highlighting that the transfer of persons with serious conditions or other characteristics of vulnerability to mainland facilities is imperative, so that they can have access to special and dignified reception conditions and receive the necessary healthcare and psychosocial support, according to legislation.
