Executive order extends temporary residence permits for displaced persons from Ukraine

As of 1 October 2026, residence permits granted to people displaced from Ukraine under Denmark’s Temporary Residence Permit Act may be extended until 17 March 2028, unless there are grounds for revocation. 

The Danish Immigration Service will process extensions automatically, and decisions can be appealed to the Immigration Board. New permits issued after the order takes effect will also be valid until 17 March 2028.
