Council of Ministers approves draft of Refugee Law 2026 and bill is submitted to parliament

In a meeting on 5 March 2026, the Council of Ministers decided to approve the bill "The Law on Refugees of 2026" and authorised the Minister for Justice and Public Order to submit it to the House of Representatives for adoption into law.
