CGRS temporarily suspends the processing of applications by Iranians

The CGRS decided that it was impossible to sufficiently assess protection needs of Iranian applicants, due to the difficulty in obtaining objective and up-to-date information on the situation in the country.

Decision-making stopped until information becomes available that allows to accurately assess the security situation and the risk of persecution for applicants.

The organisation noted that scheduled interviews will still take place, but no new interviews will be planned, until the situation becomes clearer.
