The suspension has been in place since 9 December 2024 and the processing of these applications resumes on 1 November 2025. The organisation has gathered in the meantime sufficient, objective and up-to-date information to assess accurately the individual cases.
The organisation informed applicants about the next steps:
- Applicants who have not yet had their personal interview will receive an invitation for the interview.
- Applicants who have already had their personal interview will be invited for a new interview. An exception is when the applicant had already a personal interview as they had already been granted international protection in another EU Member State.
The CGRS also requested applicants to send as soon as possible all documents that may be relevant for their application, but have not yet submitted them to the authority.
