The data from the 24th edition of the Report on the Reception and Integration System (SAI) confirmed the consolidation and expansion of the network nationwide. 867 active projects were recorded, 44% of which have been in place for more than 10 years. Funded places have risen to 44,209 (an 8% increase over 2024), with active places at year-end standing at 41,289 (+6.7%): 33,885 for standard reception, 6,646 for unaccompanied minors, and 758 for beneficiaries with specific health needs. The network encompasses 1,991 municipalities, over 1,100 small towns and 93% of large municipalities with over 100,000 inhabitants.
A total of 55,779 people have been welcomed, nearly 90% of whom are under 41 years, and 14,829 are minors. Women make up 26% of the total. Of the 19,307 beneficiaries who left the system, 62% successfully completed the placement process. Among beneficiaries, 3.8% suffered from mental health problems, 3.5% were victims of torture or violence, and 3.2% were victims of trafficking. Among women, the percentages rise to 5.9% and 7.9%, while 9.5% of unaccompanied minors arrived in vulnerable conditions.
