Ministry of Immigration and Asylum publishes May 2025 data on unaccompanied minors in Greece

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum published a factsheet on unaccompanied minors in Greece in May 2025. According to the factsheet, the estimated number of unaccompanied minors in Greece was 2,207 of which:

• 92% boys
• 8% girls
• 12.2% < 15 years old
• 1,263 in accommodation centres
• 206 in semi-independent living apartments
• 134 in emergency accommodation structures
• 604 in Reception and Identification Centres (RICs) and Closed Controlled Access Centers (CCACs) in the islands
• - minors in Controlled Accommodation Facilities for Asylum Seekers

The accommodation capacity for unaccompanied minors was:

• 1,746 places in accommodation structures (accommodation centres/semi-independent living apartments); and
• 154 places in emergency accommodation facilities.
