The new regulations establish rules on financial assistance available to foreign nationals who are required to leave Norway. They distinguish between assisted return and forced return, and set out the conditions for receiving return and reintegration assistance.
The assistance may include support for the return journey, such as travel expenses, and reintegration assistance in the country of return. The regulations also establish rules concerning eligibility, the amount and type of assistance, and the circumstances in which an already granted benefit may be changed or withdrawn.
