Center Hviding is being converted into a residential center for displaced persons from Ukraine

The Danish Immigration Service has announced that Center Hviding will be converted into a residential centre for persons displaced from Ukraine. The conversion will be implemented gradually from October onwards.

Until now, Center Hviding has operated as a regular accommodation centre. Current residents will be relocated to other facilities within the Danish reception system during the transition period.

The decision is part of a broader adjustment of reception capacity and reflects the fact that the lease for the former Holstebro Hospital, which currently accommodates mainly displaced persons from Ukraine, is due to expire in the first quarter of 2027.
