On 16 July, the Minister of Immigration and Asylum met with the Ambassador of Egypt to Greece. The two sides praised the high level of existing bilateral cooperation and discussed in detail the issue of irregular immigration, with the shared intention of intensifying efforts to enhance returns, which is a permanent priority of the government and the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
The need for more effective cooperation in the field of returns was set as a condition for further strengthening legal migration.
