Following the approval of the Royal Decree 316/2026 amending the Immigration Law, the government published questions and answers note related to the procedure to request the regularisation, including the timeline and requirements.
Applicants for international protection can apply for their regularisation if they lodged their application before the 1 January 2026. Beneficiaries will receive one year residence permit that will allow them to work in the country.
