The GII registered 930 asylum applications for first 9 months of 2025, most from Syrians, Iraqis and Sudanese

The General Inspectorate for Immigration announced that it has registered 930 asylum applications in the first 9 months of 2025, less than the number registered last year in the same period, when 2,054 applications had been registered.

For the first 9 months of 2025, most applications were registered by nationals from Syria (235), Iraq (97) and Sudan (75).
